AssemblyAI CI Integration

Overview

Set up CI/CD pipelines for AssemblyAI transcription projects with unit tests (mocked), integration tests (live API), and cost-controlled test strategies.

Prerequisites

  • GitHub repository with Actions enabled
  • AssemblyAI API key for testing
  • npm/pnpm project configured

Step 5: Cost-Controlled Testing Strategy

Output

Examples

Run mocked unit tests for every pull request. Run a single non-destructive integration transcription only from a protected branch or manually approved environment, use a dedicated low-quota test credential, delete the resulting test transcript after assertions, and fail closed if the secret or approval is absent.
